The Ryoshin-Kan Karate School and Dragon Force Karate Demo Team were established in 1980 by Shihan Tim Thompson. The
Dragon Force National Karate Team was established by Shihan Tim Thompson in 1995.
The Ryoshin-Kan / Dragon Force Motto is
"Optimi Optimorum" ( the Best of the Best) !
The Dragon Force National Team performs Karate Shows and competes at National Championships. Members of the Dragon Force
National Team are selected from the star performers of the main Dragon Force Karate Demo Team. Sensei Thompson also created
the award winning Dragon Duet Team Pairs Routine and the Kama X-Team Routine, both perform with the Ryoshin-Kan Karate School's
Dragon Force National Demo Team at Demos and Tournaments. The Dragon Force National Team have won 1st Place in Demo Team,
Team Kata, Team Pairs, Weapons, Kata, Kumite, Breaking, Musical Kata and Self-Defense at National / Regional Tournaments.
This Team regularly competes at the Grand Slam Open National Sport Karate Championships, US Classic National Martial Arts
Championships, Battle of the Martial Arts National Martial Arts Championships, World Cup Martial Arts Championships, Superstars
Karate Championships, Mid-Atlantic Karate Championships, USA East Coast Martial Arts Championships, Sidekick International
Martial Arts Championships, the World Fall Classic Martial Arts Championships, Battle of Seven Cities Martial Arts Championships,
US Open Martial Arts Championships, Beach Blast Open Martial Arts Championships, Virginia's Best Challenge Martial Arts Championships,
Old School Fall Classic U.S. Open Karate Championships, King Neptune Classic Open Martial Arts Championships. and several
other regional and National Tournaments.
Shihan Tim Thompson's outstanding Dragon Force
National Karate Team has won 1st Place Trophies at 19 National / World Championships and 12 World Cup Martial Arts
Championships.
From 1980 to 1995 Ryoshin-Kan Karate School Won numerous 1st Place Trophies in Various Divisions.
Since the Creation of the Dragon Force National Karate Team in 1995, We have won National / World Championships 1996,
1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019,
2022, 2023 & 2024. Dragon Force has won the Team Grand Champion Trophy at the World Cup Open Nationals 2000, 2001, 2002,
2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 & 2024. In 2010, Team Dragon Force became the First Demo Team to win the 1st Place
Demo Team Trophy at the US Classic National Martial Arts Chmpionships. The Dragon Force Karate National Team is the First
Team to Win the Team Demo Grand Champion Trophy at the World Cup Martial Arts Championships three years in a Row! Go...Go
